Jill A. Herman

Jill is the founding shareholder of Herman | Goldstein. Since 1980, when she began practicing law, Jill has been a personal injury litigator. She has extensive experience and an outstanding record in a wide variety of personal injury cases.

Jill's focus is advocating for injured people and their families in medical malpractice cases and other cases involving personal injury or death. She has always been committed to the pursuit of justice and is passionate and compassionate in representing the interests of her clients. Jill is down to earth, accessible, and very direct. These qualities, along with Jill's integrity and attention to detail have contributed to her outstanding results in obtaining compensation for her clients at trial and through settlement.

Jill is certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a Specialist in Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation. She is currently one of approximately 200 Certified Specialists state-wide in her field. Jill was the first woman in Arizona to be inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, the premier professional trial lawyers organization in America. Jill is licensed to practice in all Arizona courts, the United Stated District Court for the District of Arizona, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jill grew up in Southern Arizona, where she became fluent in Spanish. She received her undergraduate degree in English at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and then graduated from King Hall School of Law, University of California at Davis in 1980. When her sons were in high school, Jill volunteered as a Mock Trial coach and was active in Speech and Debate. In her spare time, she enjoys seeing movies with her husband, spending time with her family, working out, reading, music, art and her dogs, and is an aspiring painter and photographer.


Evan S. Goldstein

Evan is a litigation attorney and shareholder at Herman | Goldstein practicing insurance bad faith, plaintiff and defense personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, and products liability litigation. Evan is an experienced trial attorney, who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in jury trials. He is one of the approximately 200 certified Specialists in personal injury and wrongful death litigation in Arizona. Evan utilizes his litigation skills to facilitate alternative dispute resolution and he also works frequently as a well-respected arbitrator and mediator.

Evan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri School of Law.  He is admitted to practice in all state courts of Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  After law school, Evan served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable James Duke Cameron. Evan also worked for the Federal Reserve Bank as a holding company examiner from 1981-84.

Evan is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the State Bar of Missouri, the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, and is a Board member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).In recognition of his skills, Evan's peers have awarded him Martindale Hubbell's "AV" rating.  

Evan enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters. He coaches softball and is often at the dog park with his two border collies.


Christi A. Woods

Christi is a shareholder with Herman | Goldstein practicing in insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury, and insurance bad faith. Christi advocates on a personal level for her clients, focusing her efforts on their particular needs, identifying the unique attributes of their cases, and effectively and passionately representing their interests.

Prior to joining Herman | Goldstein, Christi was an extern for Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee of the United States District Court, District of Arizona.  Christi is admitted to practice law in all state courts of Arizona, as well as the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for Arizona.

Christi was raised in Alaska, where she enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking, snow mobiling and skiing. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies in Seattle, Washington, in 1995. Christi earned her Juris Doctor Degree and graduated with honors from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in Tempe, Arizona. Christi is a "football mom" and when not carpooling around to different activities for her children, enjoys traveling, reading, and downtime with her kids.
